WP5 Applications/services
Objectives
The goal of WP5 is to provide a set of routines, based on presently available software at individual stations and its development, in order to enable use of the real time database for providing important key parameters of cosmic ray (CR):
- Spectra of galactic and solar CR near Earth but outside the geomagnetosphere
- ALERT system to forecast the arrival of energetic solar particles at and near Earth
- Information about anisotropy
- Ionization and radiation dose rates in the Earth's atmosphere
One of the aims is to create a tool for operative work with data, making use of the neutron monitor network as a single multidirectional instrument to provide an operative patrol and analysis of near-Earth space environment.
